Here at Yuhoki, we are always busy in the kitchen developing our menu and adding fantastic new dishes for our customers to enjoy. In this blog, we will be introducing you to our two new favourite starters, Takoyaki and Wasabi Prawns.
Chicken Katsu (also known as Tori Katsu) is succulent chicken that has been deep fried and coated in panko breadcrumbs. Chicken Katsu is traditionally served with a sweet and salty tonkatsu sauce; however, being a very versatile dish, it is also often served with Japanese curry and in rice dishes. Here at Yuhoki, we have a tempting selection of Katsu dishes to suit any palette.
Tofu has been part of Japanese cuisine since the Nara period (late 8th century), much of its early use was as a vegetarian alternative for Buddhist monks who called it ‘Chinese Curd’. Still popular in Japan today it’s wonderfully versatile and can be used in wide range of dishes to provide great texture and flavour. Healthy and delicious it’s perfect for vegetarians and meat lovers alike!
